Ali Kazma (1971) Turkey

visual artist

Ali Kazma is one of the most original Turkish visual artists today. In his poetic video essays reminiscent of archaeological records, he searches for the meaning and significance of human work and human activity in general. He has previously collaborated with Orhan Pamuk, about whom he made the video art triptych A House of Ink, which explores the writer’s work, studio, library, and archive. His latest project, which he will present in Prague in its world premiere, was created in collaboration with the writer Alberto Manguel.
