Benjamin Balint is an American-Israeli writer, journalist, historian, and translator based in Jerusalem. He is the author of Kafka’s Last Trial (2018), a captivating portrait of the legal dispute over Franz Kafka’s legacy. The book won the Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish literature. In 2023 Benjamin Balint published a comprehensive and highly praised monograph on the Polish-Jewish writer Bruno Schulz.
