19:30 PORTRAIT /SELF-PORTRAIT: NARRATING THE SELF IN THE DIGITAL AGE 
With: Alberto Manguel, Marek Torčík, Bianca Bellová, Dimitri Verhulst 

How do we narrate the self and the others in literature and the visual arts? Why are we attracted to stories that are based on real events, and what does it mean for writers to “have their skin in the life writing game”? What will become of the self in texts written by AI?  How have visual self-portraits changed in the age of selfies, and is today’s selfie culture merely a manifestation of our self-obsessive tendencies? These are questions for the guests of the FALL festival.
