READING houellebecq!

Adam Štech, Tereza Matějčková, Otto M. Urban, Miloslav König

How is the artist reflected in their work, and is it possible to separate the work from its creator? The author’s personality constantly attracts attention. This is clear from the ever-increasing popularity of memoirs, autobiographies, popular and critically edited biographies, diaries, letters, and so on. In films and novels the author sometimes becomes a “fictitious” character in their own work, as in the case of the French writer Michel Houellebecq. How does the public image of the author change our understanding of their work? Philosopher Tereza Matějčková will disscus these topics with artist Adam Štech and curator Otto M. Urban in Štech’s exhibition houellebecq!. The event will be hosted by Otto M. Urban and will include a reading by Miloslav König.

Admission to the exhibition is included in the event.

The event is held in Czech language.
